This statue, the largest in the region, is part of Wat Phra Yai Temple which is a deeply spiritual complex full of small intricate statues of buddha and mythical creatures like dragons & seven-headed snakes!
This new tourist attraction is the only vision illusion art museum in Thailand that visitors can have a full of fun in touching and taking pictures with these illusion 3D art pieces displaying in the museum. Within 5,800 sq. meters space, there are more than 10 exhibitions that range in different theme such as Underwater World Hall, Wildlife Hall, Dinosaur Hall, Waterfall Hall as well as making fun touch the world famous art paints.
The new theme park covers a total area of 12-rai and is housed in a structure similar to a large circus tent. It is believed to be the largest and most modern ocean aquarium in Asia, boasting a 100-meter-long, 6.4-centimeter-thick acrylic pedestrian tunnel through an underwater environment filled with dozens of marine species.The aquarium itself houses more than 4,000 marine animals, comprising more than 200 different species from the region as well as some rare creatures from overseas. Top in the Visitors must-see list is the rare shovelnose ray, a hybrid between a shark and a stingray.
Lying about 7.5 kilometers offshore from Pattaya, this island offers several white sandy beaches such as notably Hat Ta Waen, Hat Laem Thian and Hat Thong Long while there a bunch of coral reefs on the otherside of the island. Visitors can choose either snorkeling or viewing the coral from glass bottom boats.
Koh Samae San is 1.4 km away from the coast of Ban Samae San in Sattahip district. It has preserved by the Royal Thai Navy to be a home for sea turtles to hatch eggs, the abode for rare plants and the safe home for delicate corals. This island serves as a classroom in the middle of the sea where tourists and students can experience and learn about unspoiled nature. There are 5 beaches on the island which Hat Luk Lom is the most beautiful with softy white sand similar to the beaches along the Andaman Sea with the truly fact that it’s just 2.30 hours from the busy capital Bangkok. Not many facilities are available on the island. There are only a shelter, deck chairs and the breathtaking beaches.
A European style mansion by the sea houses a statue of Kuan Yin (Chinese goddess) and other god sculptures that express the philosophy of living. There are several buildings in the compound includes The Buddha Dome, a restaurant and souvenir shops that offers various products such as beauty skin, healthy and food.
Khao Chi Chan is a famous place as it features a giant sculptural image of Lord Buddha erected on the giant cliff. It was built 1995 as initiative from then Supreme Patriarch who felt it’s such a waste to let these marble mountains were destroyed so he ordered to create the giant Buddha image on the cliff that was cut half already. It was also built to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol on the occasion of his Golden Jubilee.
The former paddy fields have turned into a thriving beach. Only 3 kilometers down from Pattaya Beach, Chomthian is highly recommended to those who seek a quieter resort as it is also quieter and more relaxing than Pattaya Beach. The 6-kilometer long, largely straight beach is popular for windsurfers and water sports enthusiasts. Hotels and other accommodation facilities are available along the road that runs parallel to the shore.
The half-moon-shaped Pattaya Beach is 4 kilometers long with a road running parallel to the beach. From the mid-section to the southern end of the area, there is a vast array of restaurants, bars, department stores, souvenir stores as well as other places of entertainment. There are various mini-resorts and hotels in a quieter atmosphere on the northern part of the beach. It’s actually free to stroll along the beaches, but operators will charge you for the services they provide, i.e. the beach chair. A price is roughly $1 per chair, though bargaining is rather customary in Thailand.
The Sanctuary of Truth is a gigantic wooden construction which covers the area of more than two rais. The top point of the building is about 105 meters high. It was constructed to withstand the wind and sunshine on the seashore at Rachvate Cape, Tumbon Naklea, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri Province.
The building was constructed according to ancient Thai ingenuity and every square inch of the building is covered with wooden carve sculpture. The purposes of decoration with wooden carve sculptures are to use art and culture as the reflection of Ancient Vision of Earth, Ancient Knowledge, and Eastern Philosophy. With in this complex, visitors will understand Ancient Life, Human Responsibility, Basic Thought, Cycle of living, Life Relationship with Universe and Common Goal of Life toward Utopia.
